Introduction to Drawing

Monday, 7 to 9pm,
This 8 week course provides and introduction to drawing. We start with basic objects and materials and work towards more complex forms and techniques. An Excellent class for beginners.
Fee $170/ 8 weeks $100/ four classes, or $30/class

Watercolor Workshop Island Weekend

On a small private island north of Boston you will be inspired to paint by the beautiful surroundings and relaxed pace. A place to unwind in an idyllic setting where you can indulge your creativity. Be in nature: on this island there are no roads, no cars, and no electricity. Just beaches, rock cliffs, ocean views, sailboats, birds, sunrises and sunsets, wildflowers, a lighthouse, and breathtaking nighttime views of the stars. You will stay at one of the picturesque summer cottages just steps from the beach. Each day will include opportunities to paint/draw, swim, play volleyball, with free time to explore the island and soak up the sun and beautiful views or take a nap in the hammock under the trees.

Time: Catch the 6:15 pm ferry Friday night

Summer School includes 10 days in Greece with 2 days in Athens and 7 days in Crete
Daily painting and sketching excursions - visiting the Parthenon and Temple of Hepheastus in Athens, as well as Museums and other points of interest...and visiting Knossos, Cave of Zeus, the Archeological Museum and Chania in Crete.

Japan 2008 - Izu - Nara - Kyoto - Tokyo

 


"Art and Tea"

Tour Summery: July 30 - August 12 2008

Summer School includes - 14 Days in Japan - Arriving in Tokyo then traveling by train to Izu and Ceramics workshop at Gandenji Course of Study making Tea Bowl - Train to Nara where we will visit Todaiji(Great Buddha) and many other beautiful Temples and museums. While in Nara we will have scheduled Tea ceremony and visit a shop famous for sweets used in Tea ceremony.Train to Kyoto where we will visit many famous Moss Garden , Imperial Gardens, home of several famous tea Houses. Then back to Tokyo for one more day of shopping before retuning to Boston
