ONI WA SOTO! Go away bad luck! FUKU WA UCHI! Come in good luck! We had a wonderful time at the traditional "SETSUBUN MAMEMAKI" celebration throwing beans to chase demons away into the snow and ask good luck in. Afterwards we picked up our age in beans. Then we enjoyed eating hot red beans with mochi and drinking sencha tea steeped with roasted beans and umeboshi plum.
